Welcome Students and Parents to my Webpage! I wanted to give you a little bit of background information about my educational experience. I graduated in 2000 from the University of Louisiana Monroe with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. I am certified to teach both Social Studies and English Language Arts in grades 6-12.
I have been teaching for 8 years both in Ascension Parish and in EBR. This is my fifth year at Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet, and I am very excited about this school year. This year I will be teaching 7th Gr. Advanced Social Studies and 6th Gr. Study Skills. My desire is for students to be successful academically this school year. I know that by working together, students can reach their goals and strive for excellence!

U.S. Map Tests
Students will be required to learn the locations, the corresponding capital cities, and postal abbreviations for the following states (this includes the correct spelling of each). Students have been given a study guide which contains all of the information that will be needed to adequately prepare for these tests. If a student misplaces his/her study guide, there is a map in the back cover of the Sherwood Middle Planner. I will post the dates of the tests along with which states will be included on these tests as they are announced in class. Please check back often for updates!
