Our LADY FALCONS, under the leadership of Head Coach Ms. Newton and Assistant Coach Mrs. Morrison, are ready for another exciting year. They look to keep their claws on the Parish Championship. We support our Lady Falcons and wish them much success.

Thursday October 29th PARISH CHAMPIONSHIP will be held at SHERWOOD MIDDLE ACADEMIC MAGNET SCHOOL-the reigning Parish Champions

The Lady Falcons traveled to McKinley Middel to play their last regular season game and they came way with a victory over the Mustangs.

The girls won the first set but dropped the second. It was through determination and teamwork that they came out on top in the final and determing set to take the match.

Now the ladies await their seeding for the parish championship that will be held on the Sherwood campus. Come root the ladies on to victory!

Westdale Middle came into the Falcon's Nest on Thursday Oct. 8 to take on the Lady Falcons of Sherwood.

The girls soared over Westdale with two wins to take the set. The girls played so well together. Great job ladies!

On Tuesday Oct. 13th after an extra long weekend the Lady Falcons played host to league leading Park Forest Middle. With two dominating girls in the middle for Park Forest along with some consistent play the the Lady Raiders the Falcons struggled to get their into their game.

The set went the full three games with Sherwood losing two out of the three. Now the girls look towards playing hard for the last half of the schedule so that they can be invited to the the Middle School Parish Championships where they hope to win out and take the title once more. Good luck girls!

The Lady Falcons continue their journey to an unprecedented fourth consecutive parish volleyball championship. On Tuesday October 6th they visited the courts of Southeast and came away with a victory. The scores of the games are as follows:

On Thursday October 1st the Lady Falcons hosted Glasgow Middle. After losing to Woodlawn on Tuesday, the girls were ready to put it behind them and focus on the game at hand.

Their teamwork and focusing paid off as the Lady Falcons downed Glasgow Middle in 2 sets, 21-12; 21-12.

Our Lady Falcons traveled to Woodlawn Middle on Tuesday to take on the Lady Panthers. Both teams were geared up for the game and it proved to be quite a matchup.

The Lady Falcons fought hard but they didn't quite come away with the win. Coaches Newton and Morrison aren't happy with the loss but they do know that it is through losses that one can regroup and come back even stronger. The girls are going to address their mistakes, make improvements and come back even stronger next time.
