MOST VALUABLE PROFESSIONAL
At Sherwood Middle, we have many talented, knowledgeable and gifted teachers, support staff and admistrators who have a genuine desire to see your children succeed. And even though we would like to spotlight every one on our school staff, we do take the opportunity to highlight one each month.
For the month of October our Most Valuable Professional is Mr. Chad Segura.
Mr. Segura is a member of our fantastic math department. Nominating comments about Mr. Segura mentioned his expertise with technology and his willingness to share that knowledge with others. Other comments spoke of his role at the IMT leader for the Math Department and his dedication in working with IMT's from around the parish. Mr. Segura is also a member of the school's PBIS team and works hard with Mr. Brown our Dean of Students compiling data on behavioral issues. He then takes his results and presents them to the faculty in a manner that is understandable and allows the teachers and administrtors to focus on those areas that need attention. The English Language Arts Department was complimentary when speaking about Mr. Segura as they mentioned the AR Grade Calculator that he developed so that they would have a simple and useable tool to compile grades for students.
Mr. Segura we are very grateful that you are a member of our Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet Family.
