We do a lot of cross-curricular activies, which include: networking, homework, projects, group activities, role playing, creative writing, poster making, learning centers, and etc.
Philosophy of Physical Education
Building a positive, supportive community in my class is my main objective. Community in the classroom to me means helping students learn and being a part of the learning process. Due to the nature of team sports, I hope to create an environment where children feel safe to learn. I want my students to feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and sharing ideas. Physical Education in particular is an area where many children, do not feel confident or competent. I feel my students need to be able to take risks, emotionally and physically, in order to learn new skills, and the classroom has to be supportive in order for students to accomplish this. Students should be safe to try new things and most of all learn from each other. Most importantly, I want students to feel like they belong and are a valuable part of our community.
