Journal Entry #1
1-5-2010

Please read any and all comments on your journal and review your grade. Reflect mentally on what you need to do to improve or maintain your score.

Freewriting!

Journal Entry #2 1-12-2010
AR Goals Reflection

Take a look at your old goals and whether you met or exceeded them or maybe even failed to meet them.

Look over the books you have read over the first semester and look for any trends that may have affected your success and/or failure.

Notice the book levels and the scores and see if those had any similar trends and see what conclusions you can make.

Now that you’ve reflected on your previous efforts, check out your new goals and develop a "plan of attack" to accomplish these new goals. Ask yourself, what practices do you need to change and/or maintain to meet your goals?

Also take a look at your new start test results and compare them to your previous score. What do you think contributed to your new score and how do you feel about your new score.

Journal Entry # 4 2-5-10

"A brave war chief would prefer death to dishonor."

When you think of honor, who or what comes to mind?

Journal Entry #5 2-5-10

Did the soldiers of the Light Brigade act with honor? Explain your answer.

Journal Entry #7 2-23-2010

Journal #8 2-25-2010

Pretend you are a parent trying to convince your child to eat his/her broccoli. Write your best persuasive argument.

Journal Entry #9 3/1/10

Topic: Memorable Advertisements

Describe a memorable advertisement you have seen recently. It can be a print, radio, web, or TV ad. Explain why you remember it. What did you respond to the most? Was it the images, slogans, music, actors, colors, or the product?

Journal Entry #10 3/5/2010

Journal Topic: Reflect on your performance for your audio-visual poetry project.

Focus specifically on how your audio turned out. Was it too loud or soft? Did you mumble or was it distorted because you were too close to the headset? Did you forget to speak clearly and use inflection to show emotion? Did you speak too fast or too slow? Did you have trouble saving and exporting your project and/or MP3 file? Did you lose your file at any point? What would you do differently if you had another chance to use audacity for a school project?
